Avoidance of dust was an important consideration in this manufacturing area, located at basement level. Working areas were isolated by screening and existing coatings removed.

The requirement was for a surface that provided good chemical resistance, with an anti-slip finish in working areas. A 2-3mm finish of trowel-applied self-smoothing epoxy Reeflor EL002SF was applied to heavy traffic areas, and two coats of high-build, solvent-free epoxy coating Reecote EC017 were applied to other areas.

The plant remained in operation while the work was carried out.
