Reepol understands the challenges presented by the Motor Trade environment. Hard-wearing floor surfaces are required to withstand tyre grip and, in workshop situations, there is the risk of accidental impact damage from the dropping of heavy / pointed objects.
Garage surfaces are subject to attack by fluid spillage – oils and chemicals, and the environment can often be wet, so anti-slip flooring is important.
Customer-facing showrooms and receptions have a decorative requirement. As these areas attract grease and oil from employee footfall, the floor surface needs to be easy to clean.
Reepol has extensive experience of installing floors in garages, having developed solutions to meet the particular requirements of a prestige vehicle manufacturer.
The Service Departments of Aston Martin Dealerships had previously been specified with quarry tiles. The client wished to move to an epoxy coated system and the brief was for decorative resin flooring, providing a heavy duty surface that had anti-slip properties to meet Health & Safety requirements, but was still easy to clean. Reepol developed a Reegrip CQ system specifically for Aston Martin, providing a coloured quartz-effect with clear resin finish. This system has since been adopted as standard by Aston Martin.
Telford Car Auctions had previously been using floor paints, which did not last very long and soon detracted from the premises presentation and appearance. The brief was to provide a durable surface that would be resistant to tyre grip and was aesthetically pleasing. Reeflor EL002 was specified. This trowel-applied, self-smoothing epoxy coating containing fine aggregates was applied in a contrasting colour scheme.
This truck maintenance workshop for RHP was subject to the usual garage operating conditions: surface abrasion due to tyre grip, impact damage, and spillage of oils and solvents. RHP required a system that could handle these requirements and Reepol specified Reecote EC017, a high-build, solvent-free, epoxy coating.
