Industrial Flooring Case Study - Bekiarudis Kebab Company
Bekiarudis Kebab Company, based in Nottingham has recently installed a new Reepol floor to service their needs in the food industry. Their Managing Director required a flooring system that was impervious, stream cleanable, had good non-slip characteristics and also could be laid to falls. Reepol’s polyurethane screed, Reetop PU007 RT ticked all the necessary boxes and the lads in the production area are enjoying the new working environment .The floor area of over 300m2 was prepared by the means of vacuum shot blast to remove any surface contamination and provide a mechanical key. The 10mm x 10mm toe in was chased out around the perimeter of the factory to anchor the system to the slab. The substrate was primed with Reeprime EP550 before being broadcast with dried sand to assist the application of the Polyurethane Screed. The specification was completed with Reetop PU007 RT applied at 9mm by the method of steel trowel.
